Alcohol

One of the most popular drinks among bodybuilders is alcohol and athlete food plan. It contains calories and provides a good level of relaxation for the body. However, excessive consumption of alcohol can cause an increase in your blood pressure and decrease your energy levels. This is why you should avoid taking it during intense training sessions. In addition to that, it can also affect your performance and reduce reaction time.

Coffee/tea

Another one of the most popular drinks among muscle builders is coffee or tea. They contain caffeine and provide a great deal of relaxation to your body. However, the caffeine found in them can have a negative impact on your energy levels and lead to poor muscle growth. Caffeine can decrease your energy levels while it can also hinder muscle growth. However, it is important to note that intermittent fasting can have a detrimental effect on your body if not done correctly.

Sugar

One of the most popular drinks among professional bodybuilders is sugar. It provides an instant boost of energy, which can indirectly lead to dehydration. When consumed in excess, sugar can also affect muscle growth. One reason why sugar is so popular among bodybuilders is that it tastes so good. However, consuming too much sugar can have a negative impact on your body, specifically your kidneys.
